The Multnomah Historical Association (MHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the history of Portland, Oregon and its surrounding areas. Founded in 1964, MHA has become a leader in the local and regional historical community. The association strives to preserve, interpret, and promote understanding of the history of the region, its people, and their stories.

MHA's mission is to make the past relevant to the present and the future. To accomplish this, the association offers a variety of programs and services. These include public presentations, educational programs and workshops, documentary films, and the MHA Report, a quarterly publication featuring local history articles, photos, and other resources. Additionally, MHA offers a research library and archive, where researchers can access records, documents, books, and photographs related to the history of the area.

MHA's work is supported by a team of volunteers, staff members, and donors. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, and the day-to-day operations are overseen by an Executive Director. In addition to its main office in Portland, MHA has two branches in Troutdale and Gresham. Together, these facilities serve to promote, preserve, and share the history of the region.
