FRIENDS OF TIMBERLINE

Friends of Timberline is a volunteer organization based in Portland, Oregon, dedicated to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the Timberline Trail, a hiking trail located on the south side of Mt. Hood. The organization works to maintain the trail for the enjoyment of hikers, campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Friends of Timberline was founded in 2006 and has since grown to over 300 members. The organization works with the U.S. Forest Service, Oregon State Parks and other partners to ensure the long-term health of the trail. The organization hosts regular volunteer days to maintain the trail, as well as educational activities to promote public awareness of the area's natural resources.

Friends of Timberline also sponsors special events, such as the Timberline Trail Challenge, an annual race along the trail. The organization also partners with local businesses to promote the trail and its preservation efforts, and works to raise funds for trail maintenance and other projects.

Friends of Timberline is committed to protecting the natural beauty of the Timberline Trail for future generations to enjoy. Through their efforts, the organization hopes to ensure that the trail remains accessible and enjoyable for hikers and other outdoor enthusiasts for years to come.
