NORTHWEST HISTORY NETWORK

The Northwest History Network (NWN) is a non-profit organization based in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1990, the mission of the NWN is to preserve and promote the history of the Pacific Northwest. NWN works to promote the study and appreciation of the region’s past through its research, educational programming, and public outreach initiatives.

NWN’s research collections include archival materials from the region’s past, including photographs, documents, newspapers, and more. These materials are available to the public and can be accessed through the NWN’s website. NWN also hosts a range of educational programming, such as lectures and seminars on regional history, workshops on genealogical research, and field trips to historic sites.

NWN’s public outreach initiatives include a quarterly newsletter, the Northwest History Journal, and a variety of publications on regional history. NWN also regularly hosts events such as lectures, conferences, and film screenings to promote the appreciation of Northwest history.
