The Civic Auditorium Historic Preservation Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2009 to preserve and restore the historic Civic Auditorium building in The Dalles, Oregon. The building, constructed in 1921, served as a community center for many years, hosting concerts, dances, and other events.

In the 1970s, the building fell into disrepair and was closed. However, in 1993, the City of The Dalles acquired the building and began a restoration project. The Civic Auditorium Historic Preservation Foundation was established to help with fundraising efforts and oversee the restoration process.

Today, the Civic Auditorium is a thriving community center once again, hosting concerts, theater productions, and other events. The building has been restored to its original grandeur, with its beautiful woodwork, stained-glass windows, and other historic features preserved.

The Foundation continues to work to maintain and improve the Civic Auditorium, raising funds for ongoing maintenance and restoration projects. It also provides educational programs and events to promote awareness of the building's history and importance to the community.

Japanese Hollow Schoolhouse Built in 1904 this abandoned schoolhouse is located in a field near The Dalles on Japanese Hollow Road. Back then there was a group of Japanese immigrants who lived on the roads end, thus, how it got it's name. Also known as Eightmile Schoolhouse.
