TRYON CREEK STATE PARK

Tryon Creek State Park is a 658-acre urban forest located in Portland, Oregon, just eight miles from downtown. It is one of the few remaining patches of old-growth forest left in the Portland area and is home to a variety of wildlife, including coyotes, raccoons, and owls. The park was established in 1973 and features over eight miles of hiking trails, with options for all skill levels.

The park is named after Tryon Creek, which flows through the park and serves as a habitat for native salmon and steelhead trout. There are also several small bridges and boardwalks throughout the park that allow visitors to cross the creek and explore the forest.
