New U.S. 101 turn lane at East Bay Road near North Bend The Oregon Department of Transportation opened a new right-turn lane from northbound U.S. 101 onto East Bay Road near the north end of McCullough Bridge on April 16, 2024. The project will also install a southbound left-turn lane from U.S. 101 onto East Bay Road, replace the traffic signal and create pedestrian connections through the intersection, which is located between North Bend and the community of Glasgow. Workers can be seen building a new pedestrian island. Construction on the project began in January and prime contractor HP Civil, Inc. is scheduled to complete work this summer.

The Coquille Valley Historical Society (CVHS) is a nonprofit organization located in Coquille, Oregon. Founded in 1976, CVHS is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history and heritage of the Coquille Valley and the surrounding areas.
