The Aumsville Historical Society was established in 1976 to promote and preserve the history of the city of Aumsville, Oregon. Located in the south-eastern corner of the state, Aumsville is a small city with a population of around 4,200 residents. The main goal of the society is to preserve the history of Aumsville and the surrounding area.

The Aumsville Historical Society holds monthly meetings, hosts special events, and holds an annual dinner each October. Additionally, the society sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year, including field trips, lectures, and presentations related to the history of Aumsville.

The society also maintains a collection of artifacts, photographs, and other historical items related to Aumsville’s history. These items are housed in the Aumsville Historical Society Museum, which was established in 2010. The museum is open to the public and offers a variety of exhibits and displays.

The Aumsville Historical Society also publishes a quarterly newsletter, which keeps members informed about upcoming events and activities. Additionally, the society offers a variety of educational programs for the general public and for school groups. These programs include guided tours of the museum and the city of Aumsville, as well as lectures about local history.
