OREGON ZOO

The Oregon Zoo, located in Portland, Oregon, is a nationally recognized zoological park that is home to over 2,000 animals of more than 230 species. It is the oldest zoo west of the Mississippi River, founded in 1888.

The Oregon Zoo focuses on conservation and is part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. It is accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association and has won numerous awards for its animal welfare, conservation, and sustainability efforts.

The Oregon Zoo is open year-round, and admission is free for children 2 and under. It also offers a variety of special events throughout the year, including Summer Concerts, Fourth of July festivities, and ZooLights, an annual holiday light show.
