The Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society (OHEHS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of higher education in Oklahoma. Founded in 1979, the Society has grown to include over 200 members from across the state.

The mission of the Society is to recognize and honor the contributions of individuals and institutions to the history and development of higher education in Oklahoma. To this end, the Society collects, preserves, and disseminates information about higher education in the state; recognizes and honors individuals who have made outstanding contributions to higher education; and provides education programs to promote the history of higher education in Oklahoma.

In addition to its own activities, the OHEHS also works with other organizations to promote the history of higher education in Oklahoma. The Society has collaborated with the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Oklahoma Heritage Association, and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education on various projects.

The OHEHS also hosts an annual conference in Oklahoma City to bring together scholars, teachers, and administrators to discuss the history of higher education in Oklahoma. The conference features speakers, presentations, and workshops on topics such as the history of higher education in Oklahoma, the role of higher education in the development of the state, and the impact of higher education on the economic development of Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Higher Education Heritage Society is committed to preserving the history of higher education in Oklahoma. Through its activities, the Society works to ensure that the contributions of individuals and institutions to the development of higher education in Oklahoma are recognized and honored.
