Garfield County Courthouse (Enid, Oklahoma) Historic 1936 Garfield County Courthouse in Enid, Oklahoma.    The Art Deco style building was constructed 1934-36 as a New Deal Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works funded project (also known as the Public Works Administration (PWA)). 

The Garfield County Courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 (NRHP No. 84003018 as part of the County Courthouses of Oklahoma Thematic Resource). It is also a contributing resource to the Enid Downtown Historic District (NRHP District No. 07001265).

The Midgley Museum in Enid, Oklahoma is a cultural, educational and recreational facility dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of Enid and the surrounding areas. As a part of the Enid Public Schools system, the museum promotes learning through the collection and exhibition of artifacts that reflect the history, culture, and art of the area.

The museum was established in 1977 and is housed in the former Enid High School building. It features permanent and rotating exhibitions and displays a variety of artifacts, including items from local businesses, schools, churches and organizations. The museum also hosts events, lectures, workshops and educational programs.

The permanent exhibition includes a variety of items from the past, including photographs, newspapers, maps, books, and tools. The museum also has an extensive collection of period furniture, as well as a library that contains over 20,000 books and magazines.

The museum also houses a research library, which contains local and regional historic documents, and a gift shop that sells locally made items. The museum also offers a variety of educational programs and activities for children and adults, such as art classes, field trips and summer camps.

The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and admission is free. The Midgley Museum is a great place to explore the history of Enid and the surrounding areas, as well as learn about the area's culture and art.
