The Oklahoma County Historical Society (OCHS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and promoting the history of Oklahoma County. Established in 1977, the Society is located in downtown Oklahoma City and serves as a resource for local, regional, and national history. OCHS is committed to collecting, preserving, and interpreting the rich history of Oklahoma County. The Society houses a research library, museum, and archives, which includes a vast collection of photographs, documents, oral histories, artifacts, and other materials.

OCHS provides educational programs to the community, including lectures, field trips, and classes. The Society also provides research assistance and reference services to individuals, organizations, and schools. Through its exhibits and programs, OCHS seeks to foster an understanding of the county's past in order to create a better understanding of the present and future.

The Society is governed by a Board of Directors and supported by over 300 members, as well as a staff of professionals. For over 40 years, OCHS has worked to preserve and promote the history of Oklahoma County and the surrounding area. With its collections, archives, and educational programs, OCHS is a valuable resource for the community.
