The National Museum of Animals & Society (NMAS) is the first museum of its kind in the United States. Located in Ventura, California, NMAS is dedicated to understanding the role of animals in human societies. Ventura Coast / oil rigs (# 0089) I can’t quite figure out the geography here, but this is apparently the <u><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpinteria_Offshore_Oil_Field" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Carpinteria Offshore Oil Field</a></u>, which is approximately 4 miles from land. Per the <u><a href="https://www.independent.com/2019/01/30/offshore-oil-long-goodbye/" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Santa Barbara Independent</a></u>, most of the oil rigs in the area are being decommissioned.
