Drummond House is a historic mansion located in Hominy, Oklahoma. It was constructed in 1920 by millionaire banker, Fred Drummond, and his wife, Adeline. The mansion was designed by architects from Kansas City, and its style is a mixture of Georgian and Colonial Revival.
The house is a two-story brick structure with a hipped roof and a central entrance portico. The interior features wood paneling, ornate plasterwork, and large fireplaces. The house contains 14 rooms, including a formal dining room, a library, and a ballroom. The ballroom was used by the Drummonds to host parties and events for the community.
The Drummonds were prominent members of the Hominy community and were known for their philanthropy. They donated money to build a hospital and a school in the town. The Drummond House was also used as a hospital during the influenza epidemic of 1918.
Today, the Drummond House is open to the public for tours. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a popular tourist attraction in Hominy. The house is owned and maintained by the Oklahoma Historical Society, and it serves as a reminder of the wealth and philanthropy of the Drummond family and their impact on the Hominy community.
