Jim Thorpe, pro-ball superman This is a sculpture of pro-footballer, pro-baseballer, and pro-basketballer Jim Thorpe inside the Pro-football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. He was also an Olympic winner of gold medals, the first Native American to win gold medals at the Olympics. His executive skills were employed as he headed up the American Professional Football League between 1920-1921 as its president, which a year later became the National Football League. Thorpe is considered one of the greatest athletes of the 20th Century and the greatest athlete of the first 50 years of the 20th Century.
