The Amherst Downtown & Betterment Association (ADBA) is a non-profit organization located in Amherst, Ohio dedicated to promoting and enhancing the economic and physical vitality of downtown Amherst. The ADBA was established in 2004 and has since been working towards revitalizing the downtown area through a variety of initiatives.

The ADBA supports local businesses and works to attract new ones to the downtown area. They organize events such as the Amherst Summer Market, which brings together local artisans and vendors to sell their wares, and the Amherst Winter Market, which features local food vendors and live music. The ADBA also collaborates with the city government to improve the physical appearance of the downtown area, such as installing new streetlights and planting flowers and trees.

In addition to promoting economic growth, the ADBA is committed to preserving the history and culture of the Amherst community. They have commissioned murals throughout the downtown area depicting local landmarks and historical events. The ADBA also hosts events such as the Amherst Historical Society's annual Ice Cream Social.

The ADBA is made up of a volunteer board of directors and relies on the support of community members and local businesses to achieve its goals. Their efforts have helped to make downtown Amherst a vibrant and thriving community.
