The Youngstown Steel Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the city of Youngstown, Ohio. Founded in 2000, the Foundation works to collect, preserve, and interpret the enduring legacy of the steel industry in the Mahoning Valley. The Foundation maintains a number of historic sites throughout the city of Youngstown and the surrounding area, including the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company’s Brier Hill Works, the Youngstown Steel Heritage Center, and the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor.

The Foundation also works to support the preservation of other industrial and cultural sites in the area, such as the Ohio Steel Mill in Struthers, the old Rolling Mill in Campbell, and the Brier Hill Iron and Steel Company in Youngstown. In addition, the Foundation also works to promote educational programming related to the region’s industrial heritage, such as the annual “Steel Mill Days” event and the “Steel Heritage Trail” program.

The Foundation is supported by members and volunteers, and is a partner of the Ohio History Connection and the National Park Service. Through its efforts, the Foundation works to ensure that the legacy of the steel industry in the Mahoning Valley will be remembered for generations to come.
