The Memorial Society of the Columbus Police Honor Guard was founded in 1972 in Columbus, Ohio as a way to honor fallen police officers. The Society works to recognize and remember the bravery and sacrifice of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The Society also provides support to the families of these fallen officers.

The Society is composed of a group of volunteers who are members of the Columbus Division of Police and are dedicated to the preservation of the memory of the fallen officers. The Society provides a variety of services to the families of these officers, such as providing financial assistance to cover funeral expenses, and offering emotional support to the families. The Society also organizes memorial services and annual ceremonies to honor the fallen officers.

The Society is supported by a variety of organizations and individuals, including the Columbus Division of Police and the Fraternal Order of Police. The Society also holds various fundraising events throughout the year to support the families of fallen officers. The Society is committed to honoring the memories of fallen officers and providing emotional and financial support to their families.
