The Big Walnut Area Historical Society Inc (BWHS) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the history of the Big Walnut area in Central Ohio. Established in 1985, the organization is headquartered in Sunbury, Ohio and serves the communities of Sunbury, Galena, Westerville, Delaware, Powell, Lewis Center, and surrounding areas. BWHS works to collect, preserve, and share the history of the area through educational programming, publications, and special events.
