ALTAMONT School is a private, co-educational college preparatory school located in Birmingham, Alabama. Founded in 1918, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious independent schools in the state. The school has a long history of academic excellence, having produced a number of Rhodes Scholars and other distinguished alumni.
ALTAMONT School is situated on a beautiful, wooded, 110-acre campus in a residential area of Birmingham. The school houses two academic buildings, a library, an arts and science center, a chapel, an auditorium, an athletics complex, and several other facilities. It offers a rigorous academic curriculum to its students, with an emphasis on the liberal arts and sciences.
