The Nauvoo Historical Society (NHS) is a non-profit organization located in Jasper, Alabama. Founded in 2011, the NHS was created to preserve, protect, and promote the history of Nauvoo, Alabama and its surrounding area. The society is dedicated to preserving the area’s history through educational programs, historic sites, publications, and other activities.

The NHS is committed to preserving the rich past of Nauvoo and its surrounding communities. They have worked to restore and maintain historic buildings and sites, including the historic Nauvoo Mansion, which is a two-story home built in 1848 that was the home of the first mayor of Nauvoo.
