4/14/82, LE&E, CR(PRR) tracks, Struthers, OH Looking west from the same location we see the LE&E headed off to the left. Traffic was slowing on the P&LE and there are lots of stored boxcars. They are basically down to one mainline. The Hoppers are on the westbound main of the Conrail (PRR). The track looks recently ballasted but I don't know if the train is moving or they are stored hoppers. The PRR yard is to the left of the main. That is the Ohio Central yard now. The bridge went into the Campbell works of the YS&T. A couple of years ago I posted a couple of shots of the area now.

3/3/82, Chessie System GP40 3724 The westbound Chessie System "Chicago Jet" ducks under the US 224 bridge in Edinburg, PA. The train has 70 cars and the time is 5:40 PM on a cold march day.
3/23/82, Chessie System GP40-2 4325 A Chessie System freight heads east at Lordstown, OH. That's Lyntz Road on the left and a Chessie GP9 works the Lordstown GM plant yard in the background. The third unit is an ex. B&O SD35.
3/14/82, Conrail GP38 7936 Conrail GP38 7936 and a pair of Conrail blue units head away from the camera west to the Conrail/P&LE yard engine facility after bringing their train into Gateway Yard. The P&LE SW1500's are taking a break from shoving a cut of cars over the hump at Gateway. The shot is from the old Bridge St. bridge in Struthers, OH.
