The Plain Township Historical Society is a non-profit organization located in Canton, Ohio. Established in 1976, the Society's mission is to collect, preserve, and share the history of Plain Township and the surrounding areas. The Society has a membership of over 200 individuals who are passionate about preserving the past and educating the community about its rich history.
The Society operates out of the Plain Township Historical Center, which was built in 1911 and served as the township's first high school. The building was renovated in the 1990s and now serves as a museum and community center.
