The Ohio State University Historic Costume & Textiles Collection is a research and educational resource located in Columbus, OH. The collection, which was established in 1943, contains over 13,000 items of clothing, accessories, and textiles from around the world, dating from the 18th century to the present day. The collection includes pieces worn by everyday people as well as those worn by notable figures such as former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and astronaut John Glenn.

The collection is housed in a temperature and humidity-controlled facility, and items are carefully stored in acid-free boxes and tissue paper to ensure their preservation. The collection is primarily used for research and teaching purposes, and is open by appointment to students, scholars, and the general public.

In addition to the physical collection, the Historic Costume & Textiles Collection also has an online database that allows users to search and view images of some of the items in the collection. The collection also hosts exhibitions and events, such as fashion shows and lectures, to share their knowledge and passion for fashion history with the community.
