EL Cajon Historical Society Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the El Cajon Valley and its surrounding communities. The organization was founded in 1968 by a group of local citizens who wanted to promote the area’s rich heritage and educate the public about its past.
The Society’s activities include public programs, special events, and educational projects that provide insights into El Cajon’s history and culture. They also manage a number of historic sites and buildings, including the El Cajon Valley Museum, the El Cajon Depot, and the Johnson House.
