Southern Appalachian Historical Association (SAHA) is a non-profit organization located in Boone, North Carolina. Founded in 1952, SAHA focuses on preserving and promoting the history and culture of the Southern Appalachian region. The organization achieves this through several initiatives, including the annual outdoor drama production, "Horn in the West," which tells the story of the region's early settlers and their struggles during the American Revolution.

SAHA also operates the Hickory Ridge Living History Museum, a re-creation of an 18th-century mountain community, where visitors can experience daily life as it was in the past. The museum features a blacksmith shop, woodworking area, and farm animals, among other exhibits.

In addition to these attractions, SAHA hosts a variety of educational programs and events throughout the year, including workshops, lectures, and festivals that celebrate the region's heritage.
