The Durham-Orange Genealogical Society, also known as DOGS, is a non-profit organization located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The society was established in 1975 with the aim of promoting and encouraging the study of genealogy and family history in the Durham and Orange counties.

The society is led by a Board of Directors and is run by volunteers. Membership is open to anyone interested in genealogy and family history, regardless of skill level or experience. Early bloomer Round-lobed Hepatica - Hepatica americana (sometimes listed as Hepatica nobilis) A botanist friend of mine has seen it blooming in the Triangle area as early as Christmas!
