Lexington, NC - First Presbyterian Church The First Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC, was established in 1827. The present church building was started in 1840. However, a series of enlargement and remodeling projects have surrounded the 1840 building. The only remaining part of the original structure is a portion of the north wall of the present sanctuary. I thought it was a very attractive church with its tall tower containing the entrance.
