The Collettsville Historical Society (CHS) was founded in 2013 and is located in Collettsville, North Carolina. The mission of the organization is to preserve and promote the history of the Collettsville area and its people.

CHS is dedicated to researching, collecting and preserving the documents, artifacts and photographs which tell the story of Collettsville and its inhabitants. They also provide educational programs and maintain a museum, library and archive.

CHS is involved in research and educational programs, including a monthly lecture series, workshops, and field trips. They are also involved in the preservation of historic structures, encouraging the adaptive reuse of historic buildings.

In addition, the Society maintains an active membership and holds an annual meeting. CHS also publishes a quarterly newsletter and maintains a Facebook page. They host a variety of events throughout the year, such as the Collettsville Heritage Festival and the Collettsville Historical Fair.

The Collettsville Historical Society is an invaluable resource for the local community and provides a unique opportunity for individuals to learn about the history of the area. The Society is committed to preserving the past for future generations to enjoy.
