The Cupola House Association (CHA) is an organization that serves the Edenton, NC community. The organization was established in 2004 and is dedicated to preserving and promoting the preservation of Edenton's historic Cupola House, a structure that is over 200 years old.
The CHA works to promote the history, heritage and beauty of Edenton's historic Cupola House. They promote the preservation of the house through educational events and programs, as well as working to raise funds for necessary repairs and upkeep. The organization also strives to promote the social history of Edenton and to create a sense of community among its members.
The CHA is a member of the North Carolina Network of Historic Places and is a partner of the Edenton Historical Commission and the Inner Banks Preservation Society. Through its membership, the CHA is able to take advantage of educational and informative programs, as well as grants and funding for preservation and restoration projects.
The Cupola House Association also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including summer concerts, an annual yard sale, a holiday open house, and a winter holiday celebration. These events are designed to bring people together to enjoy Edenton's history and to celebrate the community.
The Cupola House Association is committed to preserving and promoting Edenton's historic Cupola House, as well as providing educational opportunities and social events for the community. By joining together to preserve the house, the CHA is preserving the history and heritage of Edenton for future generations.
