The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) is located in downtown Birmingham, AL and is dedicated to the study and understanding of human rights and civil rights issues. Founded in 1992, BCRI serves as a living memorial to the civil rights movement of the 1960s and is dedicated to preserving Birmingham’s unique history and educating the public about civil and human rights issues.
