Aha! Finally got the ID on this one: Trailing Lespedeza - Lespedeza repens L. procumbens is similar, but has (Weakley, 2020): "pubescence of the stem spreading (pilose), the hairs at more-or-less 90 degree angles to the stem" vs. "pubescence of the stem appressed (strigose)" for repens.
