The 1897 Poe House Museum is a historic house museum located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It was constructed in 1897 by Josephine and Edgar Allen Poe Jr., the son of renowned author Edgar Allan Poe. The house was designed in the Queen Anne style and features intricate woodwork, stained glass windows, and a wrap-around porch.

Today, the Poe House Museum offers visitors a glimpse into life in Fayetteville at the turn of the 20th century. The museum is furnished with period pieces, including furniture, clothing, and household items, giving visitors an idea of what life was like for a prominent family during this time.

In addition to the main house, the museum also includes a carriage house and a garden. The carriage house houses exhibits on the history of transportation in Fayetteville, while the garden features a variety of plants and flowers that would have been common in the area at the time the house was built.

The museum offers guided tours and educational programs for visitors of all ages. It is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm and on Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. Admission is free, although donations are appreciated.
