Mordecai House is a historic house located in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city, having been constructed in 1785. The house was built by Joel Lane, the famous "Father of Raleigh," and was originally located on his plantation. The house was eventually purchased by Moses Mordecai, a prominent businessman and politician in Raleigh, and has been known as Mordecai House ever since.

The house is a two-story brick structure with a central hall and two rooms on each side. It has a hipped roof and four chimneys. The exterior features a pedimented portico with fluted Doric columns, as well as two side porches. Inside, the first floor has four rooms and the second floor has two bedrooms.

Mordecai House is a contributing property to the Mordecai Historic Park, a National Historic Landmark District. The house is open to the public and offers tours, special events, and educational programs. It is also available as a venue for weddings and other special occasions. The house and grounds are also a popular destination for local photographers and filmmakers.
