Poplar Grove Historic Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Wilmington, North Carolina. The foundation was established in 1979 with the aim of preserving and promoting the history and culture of the Lower Cape Fear region. The foundation owns and operates Poplar Grove Plantation, which is a historic site and living history museum that depicts life on a 19th-century working plantation.

The plantation was founded in 1795 by James Foy, and it remained in his family for over 100 years. During its peak, the plantation was home to over 300 slaves who worked in the fields of cotton, rice, and corn. Today, the plantation is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and offers visitors a glimpse into the past through interactive exhibits, guided tours, and educational programs.

In addition to preserving the plantation, Poplar Grove Historic Foundation also operates a farmers' market, hosts special events and festivals, and offers educational programs for children and adults. The foundation is dedicated to promoting the history and culture of the region and providing a unique experience for visitors from all over the world.
