The Asian-Pacific Islander-American History Project of Greater Rochester (APIHPGR) is a non-profit organization that seeks to preserve, promote, and celebrate the Asian-Pacific Islander-American (APIA) history of Rochester, New York. Founded in 1984, the organization works to make Rochester’s APIA history accessible to the public. The organization was created in response to the lack of knowledge and representation of APIA history in the community.

APIHPGR strives to make APIA history more visible through public forums, educational programs, and cultural events. The organization has hosted numerous lectures and exhibitions that focus on a variety of topics related to APIA history, including immigration, labor, and civil rights. The organization also offers educational programs to local schools, as well as workshops and presentations to the general public.

APIHPGR also works to preserve the history of APIA people in Rochester. The organization collects and preserves artifacts, photographs, and oral histories related to APIA history in the area. The organization also works to bring the stories of APIA people to light by publishing books, articles, and other materials about the history of the Rochester APIA community.

APIHPGR is committed to making APIA history more visible and accessible. The organization’s goal is to create a better understanding of APIA history and to foster a sense of pride and belonging within the APIA community.

September 14, 2019: Former Corn Hill Methodist Episcopal Church as seen from Lunsford Circle, Rochester, New York The former Corn Hill Methodist Episcopal Church and present-day End Time Deliverance Miracle Ministry is a longstanding landmark of the Corn Hill district of Rochester, New York whose rich history lies at the intersection of the two rather paradoxical halves of the neighborhood's identity - the favorite abode of Rochester's moneyed class, yet also the historic nucleus of the local African-American community - and serves as a testimony to locals' commitment to historic preservation, having been rebuilt after a devastating 1971 arson fire.
