The Middletown Historical Society of Steuben County (MHSSC) is a non-profit organization located in Addison, New York. Founded in 1968, the society is dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the history of Middletown and Steuben County. MHSSC is committed to collecting, preserving and sharing the county’s historic artifacts, documents, photographs and stories.
The society operates a museum located in the historic Middletown City Hall Building. Inside, visitors can learn about the county’s history through displays of artifacts, photographs and other artifacts. The museum also features a research library and archives containing a wealth of information about the area’s past.
In addition to the museum and library, the society hosts a variety of educational and cultural events throughout the year.
