The Santa Ana Black Historical Society (SABHS) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting and celebrating the history and culture of African Americans in the city of Santa Ana, California. Founded in 2002, the Society is devoted to preserving the memory of the African American community, and to making it accessible to the public.

The Society’s mission is to serve as a resource and meeting place for persons interested in the history of African Americans in Santa Ana, to promote an appreciation of the contributions African Americans have made to the city, and to celebrate the city’s African American heritage. As part of its mission, the Society collects and preserves documents, photographs, artifacts, and other historical material related to African Americans in Santa Ana, and facilitate their accessibility to the public.

The Society hosts a variety of programs, including the Santa Ana Black Heritage Day Parade, African American Heritage Tours, and the Santa Ana Black History Museum. It also publishes a quarterly newsletter, the Santa Ana Black Historical Society Gazette, and a series of books about African American history in Santa Ana.

The Society is governed by a board of directors, and is a volunteer-staffed organization. It is supported by membership dues and donations from individuals and businesses. The Society works in collaboration with numerous organizations and other institutions to ensure the preservation, promotion and celebration of African American heritage in Santa Ana.
