The Bronx Zoo is a world-renowned zoo located in the Bronx borough of New York City. It is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States and one of the largest in the world, covering 265 acres of parkland. The Bronx Zoo is home to over 6,000 animals of 650 species, including some of the world's rarest and most endangered species such as the Asian elephant, Western lowland gorilla, snow leopard and Siberian tiger.

The Bronx Zoo offers a variety of exhibits and attractions, including the African Plains, the Children's Zoo, the Butterfly Garden, the Congo Gorilla Forest, the Madagascar! exhibit, the Wild Asia Monorail, and the World of Reptiles. The zoo also features educational programs, a summer camp, a zoo school, live animal shows, and several restaurants.

The Bronx Zoo is part of the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), which is dedicated to saving wildlife and wild places around the world. WCS works with local communities, governments, and other organizations to protect animals and their habitats and promote sustainable development.

The Bronx Zoo is open all year round, with extended hours during the summer months. Visitors can purchase tickets at the gate or online to experience this incredible wildlife sanctuary.
