The Buena Park Police Association Memorial Foundation is a charitable organization that was established to honor the memory of Buena Park police officers who have died in the line of duty. The foundation supports the families of these fallen heroes by providing financial assistance, counseling and other forms of assistance to help them through their difficult times. The foundation also works to educate the public about the importance of public safety and the sacrifices made by those who serve in law enforcement.
The foundation was founded in 2003 by a group of Buena Park police officers who wanted to honor and remember the sacrifices of their fallen comrades. Since then, the foundation's mission has grown to include the support of families of officers killed in the line of duty, and to provide educational opportunities to the community to promote safety, awareness and appreciation for the service of law enforcement officers.
The foundation hosts an annual memorial service in Buena Park to honor and remember fallen officers. The service includes a wreath-laying ceremony and a moment of silence followed by a presentation of certificates of appreciation to the families of the fallen officers. The foundation also works with the Buena Park Police Department to provide counseling and other assistance to the families of fallen officers.
