HILLCREST HISTORY GUILD

SAN DIEGO, CA

The Hillcrest History Guild (HHG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the history, culture, and heritage of the Hillcrest community in San Diego, California. HHG was established in 1994 by a group of local residents who wanted to share the neighborhood’s unique history with the community, and honor the people and events that have shaped the area.

The HHG works to collect and preserve artifacts, documents, photographs, oral histories, and other materials related to the Hillcrest community, and to share those stories with the public. They host events such as lectures, tours, and workshops, and partner with local schools, libraries, and other organizations to educate the public.

The Guild also maintains a website and produces a quarterly newsletter that keeps members informed about upcoming events and activities. In addition, HHG works in partnership with the San Diego Historical Society, the Union of Pan Asian Communities, and the San Diego Public Library to share its collections with the public.

The Hillcrest History Guild is an important part of the community and plays an important role in preserving the heritage of Hillcrest and its people. Through its work, the Guild has helped to make Hillcrest a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work, and visit.
