The Bayport Heritage Association (BHA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating the history and culture of Bayport, New York. Founded in 2004, the BHA is a volunteer-run organization that works to promote interest in and understanding of Bayport’s unique history and culture.

The BHA’s mission is to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Bayport by collecting and preserving artifacts, recordings, documents, and other material relating to the history and culture of the community. The BHA also works to educate the public about Bayport’s past, and to promote and support activities that promote the understanding and appreciation of Bayport’s history and culture.

The BHA hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including lectures, historical reenactments, and walking tours. The BHA also sponsors a monthly lecture series, in which historians and experts in local history, architecture, and culture present on topics of interest relating to Bayport. The BHA also organizes and participates in a range of community events, such as Bayport’s Annual Heritage Day, which celebrates the history and culture of the community.

The BHA is also involved in a range of projects to restore and preserve Bayport’s important structures and spaces, such as the historic Bayport Lighthouse, the Old Bayport Cemetery, and the historic Bayport Inn. The BHA also works to preserve Bayport’s unique architectural and cultural heritage, including its historic homes, public buildings, and places of worship.

The Bayport Heritage Association is committed to preserving Bayport’s past and ensuring that its unique history and culture are remembered and celebrated for generations to come.
