The Fort Bayard Historic Preservation Society is a non-profit organization located in Silver City, New Mexico. Founded in 2004, the society is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the history and heritage of Fort Bayard, a former military post established in 1866 to protect settlers and travelers in the American Southwest.

The society works to preserve and restore the historic buildings and structures of Fort Bayard, including the hospital, officers’ quarters, barracks, and other structures.
