The Albuquerque Society of HO Module Engineers (ASHOME) is a not-for-profit organization located in Albuquerque, NM. Founded in 1988, ASHOME is dedicated to the promotion, design and construction of HO scale model railroad modules. ASHOME members come from all walks of life and range in age from children to seniors.
ASHOME meets on the second Tuesday of each month to discuss the organization’s activities, exchange ideas, and build modules. The group also sponsors several different events throughout the year, including train shows, swap meets, and an annual module contest.
Members of ASHOME are encouraged to build modules that meet the standards of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). These standards ensure that the modules will fit together and be compatible with other HO modules from other model railroad clubs.
In addition to the monthly meetings, ASHOME also provides a variety of educational opportunities for its members. These include seminars on model railroad construction, layout design, and operations. ASHOME also hosts several workshops throughout the year that provide hands-on experience in building and operating modules.
ASHOME is a great way to meet other model railroaders and learn more about the hobby. It is also a great way to make friends, both old and new. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced model railroader, ASHOME has something to offer everyone.
