Rio Grande Gorge Bridge At 650 feet above the river, the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is the second highest bridge on the U.S. Highway System and the fifth highest bridge in the United States.

The bridge is on US 64, about 12 miles west of Taos, New Mexico.

When you walk across, be sure and look for the wrecked Jeep Renegade below the northeast side of the bridge. Apparently, someone did a 'Thelma and Louise' into the gorge.
