CAMPBELL HISTORICAL MUSEUM

CAMPBELL, CA

San Jose / Jose Theatre (# 0006) Built in 1904 and apparently called the Jose Theatre ever since. It operated initially as vaudeville and then as a movie theatre all the way up to the time of the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, at which point it was deemed to expensive to repair. Recognizing it’s historic value, the city bought it and restored it, then leasing it to Improv comedy club.
