Ainsley House is a historic Victorian house located in Campbell, California. Built in 1888, this two-story structure is set back from the street and surrounded by a white picket fence and a number of mature trees. The house features a steeply pitched roof, a wrap-around porch, and a balcony with a wrought iron balustrade. The exterior of the house is clad in clapboard siding, and the windows are trimmed with stained wood and crowned with decorative pediments. Inside, the home retains much of its original character, with a grand entrance hall, pocket doors, and a winding staircase leading up to the second floor. The living room is filled with period furniture and a wood-burning stove, while the kitchen is equipped with modern appliances. The house has five bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a large attic. On the grounds, there is a garage, a garden shed, and a vegetable garden. Ainsley House has been lovingly restored and maintained over the years, and it remains a cherished historical landmark in Campbell.

Feral Cat Enjoying Salmon Treat When we moved in April to a nearby home in the Silicon Valley in California we inherited a feral cat family living in our backyard. Every day we feed mom and two kittens. Here is mom eating salmon. I took this bokeh shot with the vintage Rodenstock projector lens.

I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo separately from two RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive feedback.

At the Speed of Sound of Music After work on a rainy day I went to downtown San Jose, California. This is the Sonic Runway art display, located in front of the city hall. The <a href="https://bit.ly/46zrbXF" rel="noreferrer nofollow">Sonic Runway</a> is a corridor of lights that visualizes the speed of sound. The installation consists of a series of concentric rings, each lined with over 200 LED lights that can be individually controlled. Live audio input is analyzed and converted into a variety of intricate patterns that race down the corridor at the speed of sound (about 343 m/sec). Standing at the front of the Runway, you can see the beats of the music rippling away from you.

Rehearsing the Dance in the Head This month is the Native American Heritage Month, and this photo is dedicated to it. Power to the youth, who will carry forward the tradition.

The Stanford Powwow happens every Mother's Day weekend at the Stanford University campus in California. Indigenous people of America gathered from all over the USA and Canada. Groups of many different tribes form a big circle around an arena. The tribes drum and chant, one group after another, while dancers in traditional regalia dance in the arena. Elders judge the performances - it's a friendly competition. We could feel the energy, a real uplifting experience!

We are glad we found each other Recently I went to the South First Fridays ArtWalk, a nighttime tour through galleries, museums, and independent creative businesses in San Jose, California. One street was closed for cars and converted into a street fair. People have a good time and relax.
