The Metuchen Edison Historical Society Inc. is a non-profit organization located in Metuchen, New Jersey. Its primary aim is to preserve and promote the history of Metuchen and Edison, two adjacent towns in Middlesex County. The society was founded in 1978 by a group of local residents who were concerned about the loss of historic buildings and landmarks due to rapid development in the area.

The society operates a museum, which is located in the historic Old Franklin Schoolhouse in Metuchen. The museum houses a collection of artifacts and memorabilia related to the history of the two towns, including photographs, documents, and vintage items. The museum is open to the public on weekends from April through December.

The cruise embarks from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) with an actual stop in Manhattan (a delay leaving NYC caused by Hurricane Lee); Nuuk, Qaqortoq & Nanortalik in Greenland; St.John's, Newfoundland before heading back to New York City. It was a grand adventure.
