Proprietary House Association is a non-profit organization located in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. The association was founded in 1939 with the aim of preserving the Proprietary House, which is a historic mansion that was built in 1764.

The Proprietary House has a rich history and was once the home of William Franklin, the last colonial governor of New Jersey and the son of Benjamin Franklin. The mansion served as the official residence of the governor until the state capital was moved to Trenton in 1790.

Today, the Proprietary House is open to the public and serves as a museum that showcases the historic and cultural significance of the building and the city of Perth Amboy. The museum features exhibitions that explore the social, political, and economic history of Perth Amboy and New Jersey.
