JANE VOORHEES ZIMMERLI ART MUSEUM

The Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum is located on the campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Established in 1966, the museum is known for its extensive collection of Russian and Soviet art, as well as American and European art from the 19th and 20th centuries.

The museum's permanent collection includes over 60,000 works of art, ranging from paintings and sculptures to photographs and prints. Notable artists featured in the collection include Vincent van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Jackson Pollock, among others.

In addition to its permanent collection, the Zimmerli Art Museum also hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions throughout the year, featuring works by contemporary artists as well as historical pieces. The museum also offers educational programs and events for visitors of all ages, including guided tours, workshops, and lectures.

The building itself is a modernist structure designed by James Gowan, and features galleries, classrooms, and a library. The museum is open to the public six days a week and admission is free.
