WILLIAM TRENT HOUSE

The William Trent House is a historic landmark located in Trenton, New Jersey. Built in 1719, the house is a fine example of Georgian architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was home to William Trent, a wealthy merchant and founder of the city of Trenton.

The house has a symmetrical facade with a central entrance flanked by two windows on either side. The red brick walls are adorned with white trim, and the roof is made of shingles. The interior of the house features eight rooms, including a parlor, dining room, and bedrooms on the upper floors.

The William Trent House has been restored and preserved over the years, and today it serves as a museum that showcases the history of Trenton and its early settlers. Visitors can take a guided tour of the house and learn about the life of William Trent and his family, as well as the role the house played during the American Revolution.

The surrounding grounds of the William Trent House are also of historical significance. They include a kitchen garden, a smokehouse, and a barn that date back to the 18th century. The grounds are open to the public and are used for educational programs and events throughout the year.
